Presented and recorded live February 8th from 2 PM – 3 PM Eastern
Overview
Integrating SPHM into Allied Health and Nursing curricula into community college and university settings has many hurdles. The literature gives us a few examples of teaching methods. However, the practicalities of how to get a program started, help it grow, and how to get faculty and student buy-in is lacking.
This webinar serves to illustrate one community college’s journey from 2 hours of body mechanics training for students to over 2,000 sq ft dedicated SPHM lab space and SPHM classes integrated into RN, CNA, PTA, Nuclear Med, Ultrasound, Surgical Technology and Medical Radiography programs.
Objectives – After this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify key stakeholders Nursing and Allied Health college programs.
- Identify challenges to incorporating SPHM into Nursing and Allied Health programs at colleges and universities.
- Identify practical strategies and methods for beginning and growing a sustainable SPHM program in a higher education setting.
