Help to advance the profession! Become a member of the ASPHP and benefit from working closely with others who pursue safe patient handling in the workplace.
Although we are called the Association of Safe “Patient” Handling Professionals, we recognize that circumstances and locations in which care is given may vary. Whether we care for patients, residents, clients, loved ones or any other persons, we all have a common safety goal; to improve the safety of both the caregiver and those they serve. Many of the suggestions, recommendations, papers, discussions, etc. on this website will use the term “patient”, but one can easily apply these ideas and practices to all people who need assistance while being moved. The ASPHP invites all caregivers to join us as we advance the safety goals for the industry.
