ASPHP SPHM Awards- Call For Nominations

Seize this opportunity to recognize exceptional individuals within our community who have showcased outstanding dedication and leadership in the field of Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM).

SPHM Facilitator Award, SPHM Warrior Award, SPHM Socrates Award and SPHM Executive Award –  Submission Deadline Dec 31, 2024

At its annual National SPHM Education Event, Association of Safe Patient Handling Professionals will award five safe patient-handling and mobility awards, one each in the categories below.  For the 2025 awards, nomination forms and supporting data submission deadline is Dec 31, 2024. Begin collecting your nomination information early. Nominations will be blind reviewed by a panel of ASPHP member/judges. All judges have signed non-disclosure agreements. Winners will be notified in February prior to the event.

SPHM Advocacy Award: The purpose of this award is to recognize an individual who has demonstrated efforts and/or results to promote universal safe patient handling and mobility (SPHM). Someone who has made a meaningful impact in a short time through dedicated service and results, or one who has striven diligently for years to make a difference.

SPHM Facilitator Award: The recognition an individual who has demonstrated efforts or results to promote SPHM within their facility or system. Someone who has made a meaningful impact through dedicated service and leadership and achieved measurably improved outcomes.

Facilitator Award Nomination Form

SPHM Warrior Award: The recognition of a frontline caregiver’s special skills, dedication and commitment to SPHM in the delivery of outstanding direct patient care and leadership.

SPHM Socrates Award: The recognition of an individual who has successfully infused SPHM principles, techniques, and use of equipment into community college or university curriculum.

SPHM Executive Award: The recognition an individual who has demonstrated executive-focused efforts or results to promote SPHM within their facility or system. Someone who has made a meaningful impact through dedicated service and leadership and achieved measurably improved outcomes.
