Presented by Tiffany Thao-Houane, OTR, PMP and Yvonne Valdecanas, PT, MHA

Overview:

Creating a hospital culture that prioritizes patient mobility is essential for improving outcomes and supporting staff safety. This session presents a multi-faceted assessment of mobility culture within inpatient hospital services, integrating findings from the literature, focus groups, and interviews with best practice organizations. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the organizational, behavioral, and environmental factors that influence mobility. By comparing our current approaches to established benchmarks, we identify critical gaps and propose actionable strategies to strengthen a culture of mobility that supports both patient outcomes and workforce safety.
