This webinar addresses organizational and clinical SPHM implications in the current COVID – 19 global pandemic. A panel of experts will discuss specific ways to perform patient handling tasks such as pronation and other handling activities, mobility and infectious patient, and communication strategies necessary to keep workers and patients/residents safe as we navigate the current situation.
Objectives – After this session, participants will be able to:
- Describe risk management challenges inherent in caring for the critically ill patient who has COVID – 19
- Explore resources available to perform SPHM tasks specific to the patient who has ARDS as a consequence of COVID – 19
- Explain steps to adapt mobility practices to the patient hospitalized with COVID – 19
